The Northerly Stakes is a Group 3 race held at Ascot Racecourse in Perth each December. Run over 1,800 metres under weight‑for‑age conditions, it forms an important part of the Perth Summer Carnival. Named after WA champion Northerly, it regularly attracts strong middle‑distance and sprinting types preparing for bigger targets later in the carnival.
