Race History

First run in 1989, the event was originally known as the Winter Stakes until it was renamed in 2011 to its current title. Since then, it’s become one of the key Group 1 races for female horses in Queensland, attracting some of the best fillies and mares from around the country to compete at Eagle Farm.

Recent Winners of the Tatts Tiara

The Tattersall’s Club Tiara has produced some standout winners in recent years. Bella Nipotina took the honours in 2024, following Palaisapan’s win in 2023 and Startantes in 2022. Tofane was the winner in 2021, while the race wasn’t held in 2020.

Previous Winners

Before that, Invincibella triumphed in 2019, with Prompt Response winning in 2018 and Tycoon Tara in 2017. Miss Cover Girl claimed the race in 2016, and Srikandi was the top filly back in 2015. These mares have helped build the Tatts Tiara’s reputation as a top Group 1 race for fillies and mares in Brisbane.
